Oregon Spice Company Receives Superior Audit Rating
PORTLAND, OREGON July 19, 2006
The American Institute of Baking ratings are based on yearly food safety audits supervised by the institute. The audit assesses
businesses on five main categories: adequacy of food safety program, pest control, operational methods and
personnel practices, maintenance for food safety, and cleaning practices.
The audit is conducted by a professionally-trained staff of food safety auditors from the AIB. Food processors like Oregon
Spice who participate in the in-plant audit program receive a complete examination and technical assistance in all areas that
affect product integrity, regulatory exposure and pesticide use.
